Songkran

P1090631

This is the festival which you must attend. Maybe there are many kind of festivals in around the world but i think it is the best one. Because you don’t only watch the festival but also taking part in this festival. Actually there are some festival that i know people can join to participate but i am not totally sure you will enjoy it, such as holi (festival of color) in india. But you must prepare yourself to sense a awful smell of kari.

Songkran is held in 3 days from 13 to 15 April. It coincides with the New Year of many calendars of South and Southeast Asia. In this festival, you can throw the water to everyone. So you should not be angry if there are people throw the water to you. The traditional throwing of water is meant as a symbol of washing all of the bad away and is sometimes filled with fragrant herbs when celebrated in the traditional manner. Otherwise The use of chalk is also very common having originated in the chalk used by monks to mark blessings.

Honestly, next year i want to go there but unfortunately the ticket price is quiet expensive in those days. Last year i got the cheap ticket because i had bought it 10 months before
