Daftar Bacaan untuk Product Manager
Sudah sekitar ~5 tahun saya berkecimpung di dunia product manager (+~4 tahun sebagai Project Manager). Sebelum saya mulai, saya akan menjelaskan perbedaan product manager dan project manager (versi saya). Seorang project manager memiliki tugas utama yaitu memastikan project yang dia pegang on budget, on scope dan on time. Sedangkan product manager mempunyai tugas utama yaitu memastikan product tersebut memberikan value kepada usernya sehingga diterima baik oleh usernya, bahkan untuk mencapai itu, seorang product manager harus mengorbankan “on budget, on scope dan on time”. Saat ini, tugas seorang product manager cukup berevolusi dari yang cukup tahu point of view dari technology, customer dan business, sekarang dituntut juga harus menguasai marketing, finance, dll. Dalam perjalanan menjadi seorang product manager tentu saja banyak hal yang telah saya alami, dari gagal hingga sukses. Namun, kita bisa meminimalisir kesalahan dengan belajar dari kesalahan orang lain, bisa melalui sharing session, membaca buku atau artikel, hingga mendengarkan podcast.
